You just had a baby — and your body deserves more than a rushed six-week clearance. At Pelvic Therapy South Florida, our Doctors of Physical Therapy provide private, one-on-one postpartum physical therapy sessions designed to help you heal fully, move confidently, and return to the activities you love. Serving new and growing families across Coral Gables, Brickell, Coconut Grove, and greater Miami.
Leaking, core weakness, pelvic pain, and painful intercourse aren't just "part of being a mom" — they're signs your body needs real, specialized care.
You mentioned leaking, pelvic pressure, or core pain at your six-week checkup — and were told it would go away on its own. Months later, you're still waiting. These symptoms are common, but they are never something you should just accept.
You've tried postpartum workout videos and generic core exercises, but nothing feels right — or worse, things feel worse. Without a whole-body evaluation, no program can address your root cause.
Between feeding schedules, work, and caring for your little one, your recovery keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the list. You need a provider who respects your time — with full 60-minute, one-on-one sessions built around your life.
Pelvic Therapy South Florida was built on one belief: you deserve more than a rushed appointment. Every session is a full 60 minutes — one-on-one with your own Doctor of Physical Therapy. No aides. No shared appointments. No cookie-cutter programs. We evaluate your whole body — posture, breathing, core, hip strength, and pelvic floor coordination — to treat the root cause, not just your symptoms. Need us to come to you? Concierge in-home visits are available for postpartum and post-surgical patients across Coral Gables and South Florida.

"Krisia helped me prepare to deliver my second baby and I wish I would have known more about this before my first! She helped me heal and feel better during my pregnancy and healing from the second delivery has been much smoother after all her help and preparation. I cannot recommend her enough!"

"Dr. Dana did an awesome job helping me unravel my low back/core/pelvic issues. I had some muscle activation issues and there's no way I could have figured out what was happening on my own. I also did a session with Dr. Gattas which was also very enlightening. The treatments and education were incredibly valuable to me and my recovery. If you're having any issues with your hips/core/back or more specifically pelvic floor issues, I highly recommend coming here."

"I have worked with many pelvic floor therapists over the years on my vaginismus, and Dr. Krisia Gattas has definitely been my favorite. She focuses not only on internal work, but makes sure the rest of my body is in the best shape possible to support my pelvic floor. She is SUPER kind and friendly and always makes sure I am comfortable during our sessions. Would recommend her to anyone feeling nervous about starting appointments or those wanting to take their physio therapy a bit further by engaging their full body. She has helped me progress SO much!"

"Both Dr. Krisia and Dr. Dana are incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. I've been seeing Dr. Dana during my pregnancy, and she tailored each session to my changing needs - from pelvic floor adjustments and relieving lower back and round ligament pain to perineal massage and guidance on breathing and birth positions. Her support has helped me manage discomfort, stay strong, and feel more prepared for birth and postpartum. I highly recommend them if you have concerns during or after pregnancy, and I'll definitely be returning for postpartum recovery and treatment."

No referral is needed. Florida is a direct-access state, which means you can schedule directly with a Doctor of Physical Therapy without seeing your OB or primary care provider first. We do recommend starting with a free phone consultation so we can confirm that postpartum PT is the right fit for your specific goals and symptoms.
Pelvic Therapy South Florida is an out-of-network provider. This means you pay directly for your sessions, and we provide a detailed superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many patients with PPO plans recover a significant portion of their costs. We're happy to discuss this further during your free phone consultation.
Your first session is a full 60-minute, one-on-one evaluation with your own Doctor of Physical Therapy — no aides, no interruptions. We'll assess your posture, breathing mechanics, core and hip strength, pelvic floor coordination, and any orthopedic concerns such as low back or hip pain. From there, we build a personalized treatment plan combining hands-on manual therapy, myofascial release, therapeutic exercise, and education — tailored to where you are in your postpartum recovery and what you want to get back to.
We're here to help. Reach out for a free phone consultation to discuss your concerns and learn how pelvic floor therapy can help you.
